Perfect Prism is home to the Perfect Prism (formerly Perfect Prism Lite) driver set, a Windows Mobile 2003 version of the official Intersil Prism Drivers, which were originally designed for 2002. Unlike the Intersil drivers, it is fully Windows Mobile 2003 compatable and allows you to use the new Wireless Zero Configuration utility. During tests this driver was able to work with ALL WiFi tools, including PocketWinc, WiFi Graph, WiFiFoFum, PocketWarrior, and miniStumbler. Perfect Prism also includes the latest NIC firmware, which optimizes reception and lowers power consumption in order to provide increased range and longer running time.

Perfect Prism includes the basic driver needed to use your Prism compatable card with Windows Mobile 2003.
Perfect Prism w/ Configuration Utility includes the Perfect Prism driver for Windows Mobile 2003 and the Intersil PRISM utility set. Note, however, some functions of the utility set are taken over by Windows Mobile 2003 (The Configuration and Encryption tabs on the utility), but it can still be used to shut off the wireless radio, view signal strength, and see the current software versions.

To install Perfect Prism remove your WiFi card, then remove all drivers for your card from your PocketPC and reset. Then copy the CAB file to your PocketPC, execute, and let it install. Afterwords, reset your PocketPC again. Now, once the reset has completed, insert your card again. If the OS prompts you for the name of the network card in the socket, enter "prismnds". Installation is a one time step. If you have to do any of these steps repeatedly after you first complete your installation, something is wrong. Try removing the driver completely and installing it from scratch.

Perfect Prism uses completely unmodified drivers direct from Intersil and various OEMs. They are merely assembled into a single installer which is universal across all Prism based CF cards. This should be completely legal. However, remember that you are installing this software at your own risk, and any damage done to the unit, or laws broken by your installation of the software ARE NOT the responsibility of the author.
